I was asked a few weeks ago and again days ago why I have photos at both this website and at Flickr. My answer was that there were at least two reasons.
The first is that I try to post images on this site, Context Images, that may be of interest to birders, naturalists, environmental organizations etc. that might like to get a print or a digital version that requires high resolution. My Flickr images are of lower resolution, though they look fine on a computer screen or iPad.
The second reason is that I tend to post different kinds of images at the two sites. (There's an example posted below the text of this posting.) If you're here you already have an idea of what I post on this site. The Flickr images are often more personal, exploratory (different subjects or topics), experimental (film vs digital for example), or for keeping in visual conversations with other Flickr photographers. Feel free to check them out and you can see a lot of the images I think are good at my favorites page.
